Welcome to the Toddington u3a website
Toddington is a rural village in South Bedfordshire with an estimated population of 9690 (estimated for 2023 and published by the Office for National Statistics in June 2024).
Our u3a was formed in February 2002 by a group of interested local residents and we now have a membership of 146 from Toddington and the surrounding villages.

Our aim is to expand the education of retired people who are not in full time paid employment; to promote facilities for our increased leisure time, encouraging friendship, sharing common interests and improving our quality of life.
Our annual membership fee is currently £15.00 (£11.00 for anyone who pays national u3a subscription through another U3A) and at present we have a dozen or so groups and activities which you are welcome to apply to join once you have paid your membership fee; these are listed on our groups page.
Visitors and new members are assured of a warm welcome to our monthly Open Meetings. All these meetings are currently held in Toddington Village Hall on the third Monday of the month between 2:15 and 4 pm, we do not usually meet in August (although this is due to change in 2026). Our Speakers are many and varied, please see our Open Meetings Page for more information. Doors open at 1.45 pm and entrance is free for visitors for their initial visit, £3 for members and £4 for non-members. This includes tea or coffee and biscuits, which are served after the talk.
As a u3a based in a village, we are relatively small in numbers compared to many of those based in towns or cities. We hope that this means that visitors to our Open Meetings, feel comfortable and welcomed.
